Hairstylist

Abbie, originally from Kansas has been a stylist for 4 years. Abbie specializes in highlights, anything from bold to blended looks.She has a special love for people that goes above and beyond. Abbie wants her guests to leave feeling appreciated and loved...hoping she has made their day brighter.

Hairstylist

Angie was born in Joplin and went to Carl Junction High School. She later graduated from New Dimensions school of Hair Design in November of 2005. Angie joined the Dr.Flys team where she now specializes in eyelash extensions and color design. She has the most fun with staying on top of new trends and creating them on her guests.

Nail Technician

April has been a nail technician for 16 years. She specializes in spa pedicures, but keeps her hands in all aspects of nails as well. April has received continuing education in spa workshops, Axxium OPI workshop, gel nails as well as numerous conferences within the business. She does Shellac natural nails and soon to be one of the first in the area to specialize in the new Gel Color nail system.

Hairstylist/Extension Educator

Arista has lived in the area all her life. She graduated Carl Junction High school in 2004 and New Dimensions school of cosmetology in 2007. Her specialty at Dr.Flys is hair extensions but she also likes to do color, especially in bold designs. Arista has been with Dr.Flys for almost four years and has been an educator for FN Longlocks for almost 2 years - teaching other stylists in the area how to apply extensions.

Hairstylist

Deborah graduated from Joplin High School in 2004. She then went on to New Dimensions School of Cosmetology in 2007. She has been in the industry for the last 3 yrs and just celebrated her 1 yr anniversary at Dr. Fly’s. Deborah has a flair for the unique; she can take on any challenge given to her and to the best of her abilities. Deborah has kept up her continuing education through Redkens top retail line, Purology and Dr.Flys professional make-up line Sorme as well as becoming a Redken Specialist.

Hairstylist

Eris attended and graduated from City Pointe Beauty Academy. She has been to numerous training events including satin smooth waxing and clinical care skin products. She graduated with advancements in waxing and color through Dr.Flys associates program and is now available at our Carthage location.

Stylist

Marina graduated from college in her home country of Russia. She came to the USA in 1997 and immediately started learning English while earning her manicurist license in 1997 and then graduating with her cosmetology license in 2000. Marina has been working for 14 years in the industry in all areas of beauty and enjoys working individually with each clients desires.

Hairstylist

Novah has attended over 40 advanced education courses and was nominated for the “Who’s Who” award through the Who’s Who Regis magazine. Novah specializes in design color but loves doing looks that she can incorporate a design cut and color together to create a fun overall look that makes her guests feel unique.

Born and raised in Joplin, MO, Shawna has always imagined herself as a hair stylist.  She acquired her cosmetology license in Joplin in January, 2000.  She then moved to Dallas Texas to further her education at the prestigious and accredited TONI&GUY HAIR ACADEMY, which offers “higher education hairdressing”.  Shawna studied and fulfilled a year-long apprenticeship as a color technician in the salon.  With over 10 years experience and intense studies, she has perfected many skills such as highlights, color correction, hair extensions, perms, styles, manicures, pedicures and much more.  It is of upmost importance to her to stay on top of her game by attending continuing education classes to stay current with new techniques.

Shawna’s goal is to listen, understand and enhance the natural beauty of her clients by giving them a fabulous haircut or a great color to compliment their individual skin tone.  She says, “each client inspires me differently”.    The duo combination of doing what she loves and being a great listener has afforded her the gift of interpreting her client’s vision and often producing a look better than her clients could visualize.

Shawna also welcomes “you” to indulge in a relaxing spa pedicure, cut, color or one of the many other services she offers.

Shawna Neal is honored to have joined the team at Dr. Fly’s Salon in May, 2010.  She is excited to work with such a talented group of stylists.

Guest Services Coordinator

Tammy received her cosmetology license in 2000 and has remained in the salon industry ever since. She focuses strongly on the business aspect of the salon as the Guest Services Coordinator, while keeping up on her skills in hair outside of the salon with continuing education classes. She truly enjoys taking care of the guests and team members of the salon. Tammy’s love for people and the business is something she takes pride in.

Manicurist

Tandee is a native of Joplin, MO and has been a nail tech since 2003. She is currently located in Dr.Flys of Carthage where she does all form of nails including but not limited to manicures, pedicures, artificials- acrylics, dips and wraps, Gel nails, shellac and axxium. She has been trained and certified in Backscratchers, OPI and creative as well as being educated uner KRS specialist nail tech, Jill Wilson.

Hairstylist

Dr.Flys is thrilled to have Tanisha flown in once a month for her talents in multi-cultural hair. She specializes in perms, relaxers; weave ins and design cuts and colors. Tanisha has a strong clientele following that extends into the four state area but loves taking on new guests.
